Hi to all the Qlik & Inphinity community and welcome to the new release of Inphinity Forms.
Just a month ago, the Forms Planning object introduced new context menu options – “Expand all” and “Collapse all”.
With this release, we’re taking it a step further. Managing large pivot tables is now even easier: you can expand or collapse specific hierarchy levels – either manually through the context menu or dynamically using expressions.
Let’s explore it together.
Dynamic Expansion Level
A new option has been added to the Forms Planning properties panel. For both rows and columns, the expansion level can now be defined by an expression.
This means developers can set the default expansion level that automatically applies when users open the sheet. It can also be controlled by a variable through a button or tied to user selections.
Imagine selecting only a few products: the table can expand fully to show all details. But when hundreds of products are displayed, it can stay collapsed for better overview and performance.

Expand / Collapse Category
Inspired by the Qlik pivot table, the Forms Planning object now goes beyond the “Expand all” and “Collapse all” options in the context (right-click) menu. Users can expand or collapse a specific level within the row or column hierarchy, making navigation through large structures faster and more intuitive.

Other Improvements
As always, this release also includes smaller enhancements, such as:
- Improved performance when working with large datasets
The “Execute other sequences” action trigger can now execute more action sequences
As always, we also fixed reported bugs. You can find the full changelog here.
