Inphinity Forms 16.0: Admin App Revamped

Inphinity Forms 16.0: Admin App Revamped

Hi to all the Qlik & Inphinity community and welcome to the new release of Inphinity Forms.

Administrators are special. They interact with the product differently then developers or end users, yet without them nothing would work. So their experience matters a lot to us.

Earlier this year we introduced connections to databases, SQL Data Sources, for Inphinity Forms in Cloud. Since then we’ve kept collecting feedback about the admin experience, and it all culminates in this release.

Today, I’m introducing you to a revamped administration experience for both Cloud and On-prem Inphinity deployments. The minimalistic design, cleaner navigation, and built-in documentation links are all intended to save admins time. Bringing SQL Data Sources into the On-prem administration adds transparency and makes maintenance more straightforward.

And that’s not all. All the functions previously available only in the Inphinity App portal are now part of the Forms Admin application. One place for every Inphinity administrator. They can manage admin roles, configure clean-up rules, or even import data into a form – all from the same place inside their Qlik environment.

Let’s explore it together.

New Design Of Forms Admin Application

Inphinity Forms Admin on both Cloud and On-prem environments has been redesigned. The new minimalistic look and cleaner navigation are all about making administration easier and more intuitive. Each sheet now shows the license expiration date and includes direct links to the relevant documentation.

SQL Data Sources For On-Prem

In Inphinity Forms 14.2 earlier this year, we introduced SQL Data Sources for Inphinity Forms in Cloud. Now, we are bringing these connections to databases to on-prem deployments, too.

New Data Options

To bring admin experience closer to Qlik and make it straightforward, we’ve decided to deprecate Inphinity App portal for managing Inphinity Forms Full SaaS. All its functionality is now available in the Forms Admin application. The portal will be removed on June 30, 2026.

The functionality to clear, export and import data is relevant for all deployments. Clean-up rules are available in Inphinity Forms Full SaaS for inphinity-manage storage types, giving admins precise control over lifecycle management.

Other Improvements

There are many more enhancements in the Forms Admin application, and the best way to appreciate them is simply to dive in. Still, a few other highlights:

  • Soft delete – for file-based storages with changelog enabled, you can now control whether deleted records remain in the storage as flagged items
Trusted certificates – each SQL data source can now have trusted certificates defined manually, regardless of the issuer
Inphinity Forms Full SaaS – the admin role can now be activated/deactivated directly on the Users sheet
Inphinity Forms Full SaaS – the Permissions sheet lets you manage both User and User group permissions utilizing filtering, sorting and even batch update options

As always, we also fixed reported bugs. You can find the full changelog here.
