We have released a new version of your favorite Write-back extension – Inphinity Forms v7.1!

We have released a new version of your favorite Write-back extension – Inphinity Forms v7.1!

After the last very creative release Inphinity Form 7.0 we decided to push the boundaries of the 1st natively integrated Qlik write-back extension in many different areas! So, we hope you’ll like it 😉. What’s new?

NEW DATABASES ARE SUPPORTED: APACHE HIVE, SNOWFLAKE, SQLITE AND OTHERS!

Based on our enterprise customers’ demand we have added support for databases without updatable resultset support in JDBC driver. What does it mean? You can now store your data directly to the Apache HiveSnowflakeSQLite and others! For the Apache Hive and Snowflake data storage, you can use a database connection wizard.

SINGLE RECORD VIEW

Do you prefer to enter data about your employee, customer, or order in a single form? No problem! We pushed the boundaries a little and made it available for every single row in your Forms General object! Do you want to use a single form for adding new data by default? Sure! Both views are integrated and support all features like value checks and all field types.

AUTO-CALCULATED FIELD? MORE THAN NUMBERS!

Many of you were waiting for this feature – recalculating values based on other editable fields. And we were thinking… Does it need to be a number? Why not change the traffic light or stars automatically? Let’s not create a new field type but rather allow each field type to be auto-calculated if needed! 😎

NEW FIELD TYPE: SWITCH

Sometimes the checkbox is simply not good enough…

SMALL BUT IMPORTANT UX IMPROVEMENTS

We know that pushing the boundaries without improving the end-user experience wouldn’t be a good way how to develop a product for our customers. That’s the reason why we improve it step by step with each release. In this one you’ll find:

  • Dimension selections 😉
  • Display tooltip on cells too small to show the whole content
  • Copy & paste measure values, not just editable fields as in Qlik (right-click menu)
  • Unsaved data warning when leaving the sheet
  • Search in Forms Object Commenting
  • Highlighting the row after the click on fields from a data model, not just editable fields
  • and other small changes you may (or may not) notice

…and that’s not all … try Inphinity Forms 7.1 now to explore its new functions & features or ask your partner or contact us. We will be happy to showcase you the write-back that suits your Qlik and helps your users take action where the data is!
