Qlik has officially announced its upcoming Write Table feature, expected to be available by the end of the year, with a private preview planned approximately two months prior to launch.
What Is the Write Table?
The Write Table will be a new Qlik object is an editable table that integrates with dimensions and measures from the Qlik data model. It is designed to support straightforward use cases such as note-taking and data categorization directly within the Qlik environment.

- User Interface: A simple editable table interface, with support for field types including text, numbers, and dropdowns.
- Real-Time Collaboration: Supports concurrent editing with row-level locking to manage simultaneous updates.
- Tech Specs:
- Cloud-only: No on-premise deployment planned.
- Qlik-managed storage: Likely powered by MongoDB.
- Retention: Data retained for 90 days (subject to change).
- New API: Enables loading data from the storage layer.
- Limitations: No current support for combining form fields with dimensions/measures in calculations.
